Caro Victor,

Se você é um escritor por profissão e escrever é o seu ganha-pão, aconselho-o a não "matar" o protagonista. Isto porque o seu romance pode ser bem recebido, e torna-se mais difícil escrever uma sequela se o matar - embora, como é óbvio, não seja impossível e não seria de maneira nenhuma um caso único. Contudo, se realmente o matar e decidir escrever um segundo romance do mesmo tema, mais as pessoas se sentirão ansiosas para o ler - pelo menos eu sentiria.

A morte do protagonista podia ser interpretada como querendo dizer que o mal traz consequências, ainda que com boas intenções, e que um terrorista terá sempre o seu castigo, sendo isso talvez benéfico se lido por leitores juvenis.

Contudo, se é uma pessoa que acha que o livro é realmente o melhor amigo das pessoas (opinião partilhada por mim próprio) e acha que uma pessoa deve acabar um livro estafada como se tivesse passado uma tarde inteira num parque de diversões, acho que a reviravolta final, com a morte da personagem, seja mais indicada, pois cria até mais compaixão para com a personagem e com os seus amigos que o ajudaram nos seus actos (caso os haja). Para além disso, o tipo de final feliz, onde tudo acaba bem, apesar de ser reconfortante quando estamos já familiarizados com as personagens, é - se me permite usar esta expressão - já "muito visto", e pode até tornar-se um pouco enfadonho.

Como não li a sua obra, não sei se o terrorista é apanhado e castigado. Se não o for, sugiro-lhe a morte (que frase estranha). Mas se for de alguma forma punido ou se sofrer pelas suas acções, talvez a morte não pareça tão apropriada, pois dá um pouco a sensação de que está a fazer de propósito para o chatear :)

A questioner called DCM saw a video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EVKIoqDTu8) that features a magic trick with cards and asked me how this was done.

Unfortunattely, only magicians are allowed to know how to do this magic tricks, and I am not one. If you want to learn how to do it, I suggest you write to a Magic Blog, like Learn Magic Tricks, hosted by illusionists so wise that they are able to discover how to do a trick just by watching it. Indeed, my brother is a magician like that, but he also doesn't know how it is done.

But I do advice you one thing: even if you learn the trick, don't do it (you know, in parties, family dinners, etc.), because frankly, it is too long and it gets boring. It's not a very good trick, and I didn't even got it - i fell asleep before half. I'm sure that your magician skills could do it a little more exciting, but people usually like shorter tricks, which are usually better - therefore, I advice you not to enter the realm of card-using tricks.
